Agri Ionization Systems, Inc. started in the greenhouse industry in 1986, hired to build equipment large and strong enough to kill algae on the liners, floors and walls of greenhouses. Once this research started, tests were done on pathogens and a new direction was born. The results were overwhelming, log kills went higher and higher.
From there, our research expanded to the fields, well water, canal water, irrigation and field sprayers. Once again the equipment had to meet the challenge--again success with the help of our clients and a little tweaking of the equipment. We were ready for the next wave of requests with field harvesters and packinghouses.
Mainly for the reason that we had already taken care of the same pathogen problems in the fields and wells, it didn't take long to address these problems that had caused so many recalls. Now we have distributors worldwide; and we will continue to expand to new areas where we are needed while keeping it green.
Copper-Silver Ionization
Process:
Copper-silver ionization is a dispersive process that introduces long-lived, stable, positively charged copper or silver ions into the water system.
The ions bond electrostatically with negative sites on bacterial cell walls and denature proteins.
Over the long term, ionization then disperses and destroys biofilms and slimes that can harbor bacteria.
UF - IFAS - NOV. 24, 1998 The following is a summary of our tests using your electrode generated copper ions and its bacterial, yeast and mold reduction on tomatoes:
Purpose of Study The purpose of the study was to determine the antimicrobial effects of Agri Ionization Systems electrolytic generated copper ions on the tomatoes.
Results Initial experiments have revealed an approximate 2 log reduction in total bacteria on the surface of the tomatoes that were exposed for 5 minutes at a copper concentration 0.5-1.0 mg per liter. In addition, yeast and molds were reduced approximately 1 log using identical conditions.
Conclusion In conclusion, results thus far indicate a significant reduction of 2 logs (100 to 1 reduction) in surface bacterial and at least a 1 log reduction in surface yeast and molds associated with tomatoes. Further experiments are in progress.

Company goal:
Stopping E.coli, Salmonella and Listeria are just a few problems that Agri Ionization Systems, Inc. addresses. Extending the life of the product on the long journey from country to country is where most of the losses occur. Agri Ionization Systems has done many tests, relating to these problems, with excellent results and without the use of toxic and corrosive chemicals.
We will continue to develop new equipment to fill the needs of our customers while maintaining quality eco- friendly equipment. It's simple, safe and green.
